743 Vehicles Take Emission Test at East Jakarta Mayor Office

As many as 743 vehicles have participated in emission test held by East Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-agency at Mayor Office's yard, from Tuesday (1/26) to Thursday (1/28).

East Jakarta LH Sub-agency Head, Herwansyah conveyed, this emission test was carried out as a part of Jakarta Langit Biru program. The emission test activity was free of charge for both Jakarta Government's operational vehicles and residents' vehicles.
"Emission test is held for three days, but people seem very enthusiastic about taking the test. They are willing to come to Mayor Office to take vehicle emission test," he stated.
220 Vehicles in East Jakarta Undergo Emissions TestThere were 676 of 743 vehicles that passed the emission test. While 67 others didn't pass the test.
For vehicles that didn't pass the emission test, he urged the vehicle owners to immediately take their vehicles to the nearest workshop to repair its exhaust emission thus it will not cause air pollution.
"75 percent of air pollution in Jakarta comes from vehicle exhaust emissions," he stated.
